We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer - Engineering to create and maintain a variety of technical documentation, including user manuals, system specifications, installation guides, API documentation, and troubleshooting materials. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background who can work closely with engineers to transform complex technical concepts into easily understandable content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Primary Responsibilities
- Write and edit high-quality technical documents, including user manuals, system architecture, installation guides, release notes, API documentation, and more.
- Work closely with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand technical concepts and ensure documentation is accurate and comprehensive.
- Gather, analyze, and organize technical information from various sources (such as software, hardware, and engineering teams) to produce clear and user-friendly documentation.
- Regularly update and revise existing documents to ensure they reflect the latest product releases, improvements, and features.
- Ensure all documents adhere to company standards, style guides, and best practices for technical writing.
- Review and edit technical content for clarity, grammar, accuracy, and consistency.
- Tailor content to meet the needs of different audiences, such as developers, end-users, and administrators.
- Manage and track the versioning of technical documentation to ensure it aligns with product updates and releases.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to verify accuracy and functionality of documentation, particularly in complex system configurations and installations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices for technical writing and documentation management.
Professional Qualifications
This is a full-time position with hours dictated by business needs. This position will report to the Quality Director.
