MILLWORKER
We are looking for a machine operator who can use machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. We provide and install architectural millwork for commercial projects. We are looking for a candidate proficient in woodworking to join our team who is computer savvy, likes to work with their hands, and has a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
Responsibilities:
· Operate and maintain machinery and cabinet shop equipment including CNC router, saws, edge bander, sander, power tools, precision measuring instruments, etc. in accordance with safety guidelines
· Strong math skills for inputting specific dimensions and figures into CNC machine.
· Ability to assemble cabinets, laminate and veneer panels and build custom pieces
· Fabricate, assemble, and inspect products according to specifications
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery
· Follows core values & motto of excellence
· Listen to Management and help to ascertain their needs
· Ensure proper handling and storage of materials
· Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
· Ability to help with finish and finish prep
· Oversee quality of products to maintain AWI standards
· Look for ways to increase production or to be more efficient while maintaining quality
Experience:
· Read blue prints, schematics, and fabrication drawings
· Ability to read a measuring tape and operate hand tools and saws required for production
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to be on feet most of the day
Qualifications:
· Must be able to pass background and random drug tests
· Must have problem solving skills, be dependable, and reliable
Requirements:
· Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with machinery
· Strong ability to assemble components accurately
Compensation:
· Full time (hourly) – Pay: $18.00 – 24.00 per hour -compensation depends upon experience
