POSTING POSITION: Associate Power Systems Engineer
REPORTS TO: Operations Director
LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN
SALARY RANGE: $70,000 to $110,000

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
As an EOS “Traction” company (Right Person/Right Seat) the successful candidate is an intelligent and ambitious individual who aspires to be a project manager within the commercial construction space, including electrical, or fire, and/or HVAC systems.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Learn and assist with short circuit analysis.
- Learn and assist with arc flash studies.
- Learn and assist with selective coordination analysis.
- Learn and assist with power study findings.
- Learn and assist with budgeting, project estimating, and customer satisfaction.
- Learn and assist with determining resources (labor, equipment, and materials) from project start to finish.
- Travel - overnight travel approximately 20% of the time (10 weeks/yr); travel as the job requires
- Plan to ensure deadlines are met and within budget.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency; maintain, meet, or exceed IEEE and NFPA 70E standards/codes.
ABOUT YOU (RIGHT PERSON):
You are the right person in the right seat if you have demonstrated skills that reflect our core values: We CARE, We LISTEN, We ANTICIPATE, We INNOVATE, and We DO. You bring over five (5) years of experience working for an electrical design firm or design build electrical contractor. You have thorough knowledge of the NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and electrical engineering theory as applicable to arc flash hazard analysis. You can produce accurate and final arc flash reports and are experienced with the following software applications:
- SKM Power Tools or EasyPower (or equivalent power system analysis software)
- AutoCAD (preferred)
You possess meticulous work habits including close attention to detail, time management, people skills, problem-solving skills, exceptional organizational skills, ability to effectively communicate and present technical information verbally and in writing via Microsoft Office applications (mainly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.
- Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering with Power Concentration (or equivalent) required.
- Licensing: Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred.
