Job Description
- Collect patient information/history, taking vitals and performing screenings per provider guidelines.
- Use sterile technique to prepare procedure rooms and surgical trays.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures in adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Obtain a pertinent patient history and physical, communicating the information back to the dermatologic surgeon. Describe removal of the lesion, repair options, and postoperative wound care.
- Assist with documentation in EMR.
- Record, manage, and update malignant and non-malignant pathology results in log.
- Drape and prepare surgical site while maintaining sterile field, numb surgical site by injecting local anesthesia, achieve hemostasis using handheld cautery device, bandage patients appropriately based on surgical site.
- Assist physician during all procedures (passing instruments, blotting, cutting sutures, etc).
- Additional direct patient care responsibilities available with experience.
- Opportunities for clinical research and may be available for interested students.

Job Type:
Long term commitment preferred. If looking to advance, 2-year commitment required.
Ideally, we are looking for at least a two-year commitment but will seriously consider exceptional candidates for a shorter one-year term.
