What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Service Technician position at Integrated Facility Services Inc.?
Job Duties:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
- Assisting with customers' queries
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Acting as part of after normal hours on-call rotation
Qualifications:
- Five years technical training or the equivalent work experience
- Fundamental understanding of HVACR industry
- Control system knowledge is beneficial, but not required
- OSHA 10-hour Safety Training Certificate or the successful completion of the 10-hour OSHA training course in Construction Safety & Health within 12 months of hire date
- Knowledge of the safety rules for the handling of high/low pressure gases, electricity and certain hazardous materials
- Possession of current Class E driver's license and clean driving history
- Certification as a universal technician as required by 40 CFR part 82, subpart F
- Ability to lift and carry 80 pounds on a recurring basis
- Ability to climb a ladder carrying 50 pounds
- Ability to work on rooftops
- Ability to work out of doors during hottest summer days, coldest winter days and varying degrees of inclement weather
- Punctual, dependable, excellent attendance habits
- Professional appearance
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well
- Ability to create and maintain friendly relationships with customers and coworkers
