Head of Engineering/Maintenance

Job Title: Global Head of Engineering/Maintenance

Position Overview

The Head of Engineering will lead the global Maintenance/engineering Department which consists in participation with the hiring process, training, and management of projects. Moreover, the Head of Engineering will utilize their strategic and technical skills to set goals for both the team and the organizations as well as being actively involved in developing new projects, identifying requirements, and setting timelines.   

SHIFT & HOURS: New employees will be assigned to any work day: Monday through Sunday; and any shift: Day, Swing and/or Graveyard based upon production needs.

Essential Job Functions (Note: this is a sampling of the job functions and is not meant to be all inclusive)

·        Managing engineering projects end-to-end.

·        Implement new systems as well as leverage all existing systems.

·        Oversee front-end and back-end development teams and their projects.

·        Monitor reliability and performance of all internal equipment.

·        Ensure compliance with city as well as safety regulations.

·        Design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s overall objectives and resources.

·        Participate in the hiring of maintenance and engineers as well as coordinate/develop their training.

·        Review and update policies relevant to internal systems and equipment.

·        Identifies current and future maintenance needs, resource planning.

·        Makes sure that the department meets legal and OSHA requirements.

·        Approves and oversees different capital projects (like software/machine purchases and installations or renovation projects)

·        Reviews and approves vendor bids (like those for replacement parts)

·        Helps with the development and implementation of proactive maintenance strategies and maintenance programs.

·        Provides regular reports to senior management.

·        Provides leadership and guidance to all maintenance personnel.

·        Understands of Good Manufacturing Practices

·        Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

·        Extensive experience in spearheading large capital projects.

·        Hands-on experience in back-end and front-end development

·        Good understanding of agile/LEAN methodologies

·        Leadership abilities with a strategic mind

·        Excellent project management skills

Education and Experience:

·        BSc/MSc in Engineering, or relevant field

·        10 years of work experience as a director of engineering or in a similar senior-level position.

Salary Range:

• $180K- $215K

Salary : $180,000 - $215,000
