What are the responsibilities and job description for the Saw Machine Operator - 1st Shift position at Integrated Machinery Solutions?
IMS is seeking an experienced Saw Machine Operator on our first shift. The ideal candidate should have experience as a saw machine operator, saw operator, or previous experience from a saw mill.
Responsibilities:
- Sets up and operates metal-sawing machines.
- Understand the dimensions and footage when making for a cut.
- Installs saw blade and sets blade tension and cutting speed for specified operation.
- Perform quality checks on part to ensure machines are running properly
- Sets Saw blade angle to obtain desired angle cuts.
Required Skills:
- Must be able to read tape measure
- Possess strong mechanical skills
- Must be able to work as a team in collaborative environment
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne
particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative if those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently standing; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 85 pounds or heavier.
Position type and expected hours of work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma
- Minimum one year of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Two or more years of related experience.
