The Medical Laboratory Technical Supervisor is critical to the overall performance, operations and compliance of the laboratory. This position interacts with all the various facets of the company: team members, outside medical facilities, vendors and providers.

The Medical Laboratory Technical Supervisor is critical to the overall performance, operations and compliance of the laboratory. This position interacts with all the various facets of the company: team members, outside medical facilities, vendors and providers.
Essential Functions
- Perform all functions of chemistry and complete blood count specimen collection, processing, and reporting.
- Perform routine maintenance of assigned instrumentation.
- Manage lab supply and reagent inventory.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and assay problems.
- Evaluate quality controls for problems.
- Maintain lab certifications (CLIA
- Maintain logs, records and documentation as needed for compliance.
- Educates, oversees and evaluates lab support staff.
- Manages lab employee schedules for adequate coverage to prevent operation closures.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Perform any other functions as required by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in science plus 4 years clinical experience in high complexity lab.
- Master’s degree in science plus 2 years clinical experience in high complexity lab.
- Graduate of an accredited school of medical laboratory technology (MLT (ACSP), MT (ASCP) or equivalent)
- Prior experience in an outpatient environment
- Superior phlebotomy skills
