Key Responsibilities
- Monitor shared service desk tickets & requests company-wide, providing technical assistance to employees
- Resolve complex hardware, software, and network problems to maintain optimal system performance and minimize downtime
- Maintaining various permission levels, network identification, security access, licenses, work logs, etc.
- Build, test and deploy physical network systems including switches, access points and firewalls
- Administrate phone system, security system, video surveillance including firewalls and access controls
- Implement and oversee data backup processes to safeguard critical information and ensure swift recovery in case of data loss.
- Employ IT documentation platforms to organize and manage IT-related information effectively.
- Occasionally manage relationships with third-party service providers, coordinating the procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
- Other duties as assigned by upper management
- 3 years' experience in Information Systems
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in both IT support and network engineering roles.
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP
- Assist with designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's routing and switching infrastructure at multiple sites
- CompTIA A certification and Network certification (or equivalent)
- Ability to travel, up to 4 hours from KC, approximately one time per month
- Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems, Office 365 & network protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal communication
- Cisco CCNA certification (preferred)
- Experience with Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco Meraki, QEMU/KVM Linux virtualization (preferred)
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell to automate tasks and enhance system efficiency (preferred)
