Position: Engineering Project Records Technician
Summary: The primary function of this Engineering Technician position is to compile, review, and assemble engineering, material, test, and construction records for Client natural gas pipeline facilities per Client and PHMSA requirements. These records may include pressure test records, nondestructive evaluation records (NDE), material test records (MTRs), and MAOP documents.
Responsibilities: Working closely with Client Project Managers, Project Engineers, Construction, and Document Controls, this Engineering Technician must be a self-starter able to operate with minimal oversight. This person will research electronic project files, review record accuracy, perform gap analyses, find missing information, prepare documents, and compile & assemble the required project documents per Client and PHMSA project record requirements.
Knowledge: Understands pipeline construction, material and project records, and is familiar with DOT 49CFR192, ASME B31.3, and ASME B31.8
Skills: Able to work independently and remotely with electronic files while communicating daily via email and web meeting tools (Teams).
Experience: Successful candidates will have field experience (Operations or Construction) and / or knowledge of pipeline and facility construction and associated records. Associates degree preferred and a minimum of 5-7 year of relevant experience
