Duties:
Under general supervision of the therapy manager, implements treatment programs to provide in-home speech-language pathology services to assist clients with communication deficits. Requirements: Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and at least one (1) year of speech pathology experience in a health setting are required. Certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology is required. Must have sufficient physical energy and tolerance to meet the demands of the job. Knowledge of normal communications process, development and disorder to evaluate client and implement approved treatment techniques. Must possess a current State of Michigan driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.

- Worker will never be alone; will always be teamed with staff member
- Comfortable and proficient in swallow assessments
- Prefer someone with experience with modified barium swallow studies
- Person to Patient Ratio o Acute care level – 6 to 8 patients a day o 75% productivity standard
- Self starter, good communication
- Schedule – Is flexible o Monday – Friday o 8am – 430pm
