At IRI, we realize that employment increases the quality of life. Our services focus on developing jobs and providing Job Coach support. Independent Living Skills Trainers will support people in their own residence on domestic skills from a broad scope based upon individual needs. POSITION SUMMARY
Want to make a difference in someone's life? Responsible and caring individual needed to mentor and provide support to an individual with a developmental disability at their job site and with job development in Orange County and Los Angeles County.
This position is part-time, must be available to work between Sunday-Wednesday from 4:15AM to 2:45PM.
Pay rate is $21.20/hour. Plus mileage and cell phone reimbursement.

EMPLOYMENT COACH - NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
Supporting the person with:
- Job Development: resume building, practice interviews, learning new employability skills
- Providing transportation to and from work, and assistance with accessing their community
- Support with maintaining employment and productivity
- Discovering a persons' interests, skills, and employment goals
- Working with their circle of support in creating a meaningful daily schedule
Above all, we are all about building healthy relationships. One of your main goals will be to develop a friendly professional and respectful relationship with the person(s) you are assigned to, as well as to help them build positive relationships with their with co-workers, roommates, and neighbors.
- Completion of High School or GED.
- College experience or degree is desired, but not required.
- Reliable auto that can pass our safety inspection.
- Clean recent DMV record.
- Experience with Positive Behavior Approach is a plus, but is not required.
- Experience with (Autism) ASD is a plus, but is not required, rather an interest in helping a person to be integrated into their community and productive citizens
- Bi-lingual skills are desired, but not required.
- First Aid / CPR certificate (desired; we provide additional training as needed).
A comprehensive paid training program is provided at the time of hire and an ongoing basis.
Qualifications
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious exemption
- Criminal and motor vehicle history review.
- Drug test if driving clients.
- Automobile liability insurance.
- Cell phone, computer and texting ability.
- Ability to speak and write in English.
- Casual business dress and grooming code adherence is strictly enforced.
- Tattoos covered by clothing.
- Facial and other visible piercings jewelry removed during work hours (except for ear piercings; no plugs).
- Maintaining daily notes and data regarding client progress.
