What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Layer position at Integrated Sitework, LLC?
The Pipe Layer position would be responsible for assembling and installing storm drain, sanitary sewer, and water lines. Daily responsibilities would include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare the area in which pipe and/or manholes will be installed.
- Check grades and pipe alignment using pipe laser.
- Using hand tools to dig, shovel, or move dirt, crushed stone, or other materials.
- Assist with elevation checks using grade rod.
- Direct excavator operator to assist in fine grading ditch line and for installation of pipes.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure pipe is installed correctly and to line and grade.
- Assist with pipeline testing and acceptance.
- Operate cut off saw, tamps, or other small equipment used during pipeline installation.
- Potholing buried utilities.
- Work with other crew members to meet project requirements and production goals.
