Job Summary
We have an opening for a Line Cook in a surgical hospital in a beautiful location. This is an ideal job for someone who wants to get away from the restaurant industry with no late nights, a predictable shift, and a manageable workload. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing foods for cafeteria customers, patients, and possible caterings, while maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control.
Responsibilities
- Prepare foods for cafeteria customers
- Prepare foods for patients and possible caterings
- Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control, using standardized recipes
- Responsible for appropriate quantities of food needed to meet menu requirements
- Follow standards and methods as outlined in the Policy and Procedures to promote high-quality food and prevent foodborne illnesses in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience in similar position in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Open and flexible availability including weekends and holidays
