What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS)?
Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking an experienced Paralegal to work in the Costa, Mesa area. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, edit, and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings).
- Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case; including taking the initiative to regularly update team members on the status of cases and quickly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs.
- Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions and issuing subpoenas.
- Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms.
- Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate.
- Prepare for trial (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, attending trial).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of litigation law firm experience (defense experience preferred).
- Ability to travel nationwide to attend trial.
- Familiarity with and ability to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries.
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to anticipate challenges and exercises independent judgment to make sound decisions and take effective action.
- Capable of lifting 30 lbs. (files and boxes)
This position is hybrid, allowing for a balance of work-from-home and in-office workdays.
