Position Details:
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer(Packaging Engineer)
Location: Columbia, Missouri - some travel to El Paso, TX 30% travel
Duration: 8 Months (Strong potential for extension)
Pay Rate: $29–$37/hr on W2
Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon–Fri
Interview Process: 1st Round via Microsoft Teams; Final Round Onsite
About the Role:
- Join a high-impact team driving sustainability initiatives in packaging and process engineering.
- You’ll support client's NAM Primary Packaging Roadmap, working cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, and sustainability teams.
- Some travel between the NC and SC onsite plants, Welcome, NC, Seneca, SC, Columbia, SC.
- You'll be hands-on with line layout changes, materials testing, equipment updates, cost analysis, and documentation — helping to make a meaningful environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement sustainable packaging solutions across multiple facilities.
- Lead local projects for materials changes, workstations, and tools.
- Conduct cost and process analysis, testing, and reporting.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure successful rollouts.
- Support verification, validation, and documentation for new implementations.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3 years of manufacturing/process engineering experience.
- Familiarity with packaging/shipping, SAP, Kanban, and lean tools.
- Strong cross-functional communication and project leadership skills.
Preferred Experience:
- 5 years in manufacturing/packaging.
- Experience with SAP production systems and new product development.
