Senior Electrical Engineer (Hybrid)
We are seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electronic and electrical product design to join our collaborative global R&D team. This hybrid role (Monday/Thursday in-office, with potential flexibility) requires a candidate who can provide engineering-level support across the lifecycle of both new and legacy products. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in product design, PCB development, and cross-functional problem-solving. Contract Duration: 06 months
Key Responsibilities:
- PCB Design & Improvement: Work with a global R&D team to design and improve printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Cadence Allegro design systems.
- Project Release & Documentation: Manage schematic design capture, create new part numbers, develop BOMs, and release projects to manufacturing for both new and legacy products.
- Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project management, and purchasing to resolve design, fabrication, and manufacturing issues. Participate in regular team and engineering change order meetings.
- Test & Troubleshooting: Conduct independent tests, identify issues, and suggest alternative solutions during feasibility studies and PCB modifications.
- PLM Tool Utilization: Utilize Windchill PDM for storing design documentation, including fabrication details, schematics, and Gerber files.
- Manufacturing & Quality Support: Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects, ensuring products meet safety, mechanical, and electrical requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years of experience in electrical and electronic product design, particularly in analog and digital circuits and power electronics.
- Skills: Expertise in PCB design and specification, particularly in qualification processes; proficiency with Cadence Allegro and Windchill PDM (or similar PLM tools).
- Testing Knowledge: Hands-on experience with test equipment (CRO, AC/DC Sources, Multimeters, etc.) and troubleshooting skills for electronic products.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, and project management teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong follow-up and precision in completing tasks, including designing systems that meet EMC, safety, mechanical, thermal, and DFM requirements.
Education & Skills:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Software: Proficient in MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access; knowledge of GE Proficy Software or Modicon Control Expert Software is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of management.
