The Senior Infrastructure Engineer has a mid-level understanding of many components of the IT infrastructure and appreciates how the component pieces work together to enable end user applications and support services. While technical specialization in areas of server, compute, network, storage, data centers, communication services, data protection services, and virtualization is pervasive Senior Infrastructure Engineers are encouraged to obtain moderate depth of knowledge and experience across multiple engineering disciplines. Senior Infrastructure Engineers support lead engineers with technical infrastructure implementation, automation and ongoing maintenance activities. Additionally, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer provides feedback, recommendations and as-built documentation on technical and architectural designs throughout the infrastructure's life-cycle. - 4 years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in related field required
- Previous work experience with demonstrable experience supporting multiple Infrastructure disciplines
- Works with the business units to assist with the application of technology
- Intermediate level certification (ex. Include: RHCSA, CCNA, MCSA, VCP, VCAP, VCDX, CWNA, EMCSA, ACIS, CCP) or intermediate level storage certification preferred.
- 4 years' experience can substitute certification requirement
- ITIL certification within 6 months of employment
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Must have experience in mid to large enterprise environment
- Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks and Fiber Channel Switch Infrastructure
- Engineer Systems
- Microsoft certifications preferred
- Experience in Microsoft Active Directory preferred I
Preferred skills for Citrix
-Proficiency in Citrix Technologies: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix ADC (NetScaler), and Citrix Cloud services. -Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies. -Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues related to Citrix environments, including performance tuning and optimization. -Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide support to end-users. -Documentation Skills: Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures. -Application Packaging: Strong experience in packaging applications using tools like VMware ThinApp and Microsoft App-V. -Knowledge of Virtualization Technologies: Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
