Fence Stainer Laborer
Position Overview:
The Fence Stainer Laborer plays a crucial role in assisting with the staining of fences to ensure high-quality, long-lasting finishes. This position involves physical labor, attention to detail, and teamwork. The Laborer will work under the supervision of the Crew Lead or Foreman to perform various tasks related to fence staining, including surface preparation, stain application, and cleanup.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assistance in Fence Staining:
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up work areas, and organizing materials and tools.
- Clean and sand fence surfaces to ensure proper stain adhesion.
- Assist in applying stain using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, following project specifications.
- Transport and handle stain materials safely and efficiently.
2. Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to proper handling guidelines for staining materials.
- Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to the Crew Lead or Foreman.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Inspect materials, tools, and equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Assist in ensuring uniform stain application, proper coverage, and high-quality finishes.
- Participate in quality control checks to ensure adherence to customer specifications and company standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in staining, painting, or construction preferred but not required.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks in an outdoor environment.
- Attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
- Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
