Fence Consultant
Position Overview: The Fence Consultant is responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving sales of fencing products and services. This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual with strong communication and negotiation skills. The Fence Consultant will identify prospective customers, build relationships, and provide solutions tailored to their needs while achieving sales targets and promoting customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and research potential customers within the target market, including residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.
- Qualify leads to determine their needs, budget, timeline, and decision-making process.
Consultative Selling:
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to educate customers about fencing options, features, and benefits.
- Listen to customer needs and preferences, offering tailored solutions and recommendations to address their requirements.
- Provide accurate and detailed quotes, proposals, and estimates based on customer specifications.
Relationship Building and Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, earning their trust and confidence as a reliable fencing partner.
- Follow up with leads and existing customers to nurture relationships, address concerns, and provide ongoing support.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the sales process.
Sales Target Achievement:
- Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Track sales activity, pipeline, and performance metrics, reporting progress to sales management regularly.
- Continuously seek opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services to maximize revenue.
Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and product offerings to position the company effectively in the market.
- Provide feedback to sales management and marketing teams to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction, building materials, or fencing industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to overcome objections and secure commitments from customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Salary:
The base salary range is $50,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus 5% uncapped commission on gross sales. The Annual Estimated Salary can range from $85,000 - $175,000.
