If so, we invite you to join our team as Head Housekeeper at our charming boutique hotel in beautiful Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across our 13 unique cottages and 9 cozy motel rooms. This is a hands-on role that demands both leadership and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:
• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of housekeepers.
• Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

• Housekeeping Operations:
• Oversee the daily cleaning and maintenance of all cottages and motel rooms, adhering to established standards.
• Ensure thorough cleaning of common areas, including outdoor spaces.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, placing orders as needed.
• Implement and maintain efficient cleaning procedures and checklists.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control.
• Handle guest requests and complaints concerning housekeeping services promptly and professionally.

• Maintenance and Safety:
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in good working order.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper or similar supervisory role in a hotel or resort setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
• Experience in a boutique hotel or cottage setting is a plus.
