Job Description : Experienced Dementia Care Aide
Location : Aiken, SC
Schedule : 15 hours per week, Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 2 : 00 PM to 5 : 00 PM.
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced personal care aide to assist with the daily needs of an individual living with dementia. The ideal candidate should be reliable, empathetic, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities :
- Provide personal care services, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the client, assisting with mobility and positioning as needed.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders as directed.
- Engage in meaningful conversation and activities to enhance the client's well-being.
- Monitor and report any changes in the clients condition to family or medical personnel.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, tidying up, and keeping the living area organized.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance, particularly in moments of confusion or anxiety.
