Integrity Living Options, Inc. is currently hiring a FT/PT Positive Support Professional in our Unit Based Services Division. We are looking for individuals who are self-directed, motivated and capable of managing a flexible schedule. The Positive Support Professional position offers the opportunity to work and pursue other professional goals by telecommuting and limited direct office time.
The primary responsibility of the Positive Support Professional (BP) is to provide clinical oversight to Positive Support Services and to assure effective and appropriate outcome-based services. In addition, the PSP conducts Functional Assessments for all new referrals and may also provide behavioral trainings to positive support staff and multidisciplinary teams.
PSP tasks can include but is not limited to:
- Consulting with positive support analysts to assess the effectiveness of behavior support plans and monitoring client cases
- Identifying intervention strategies and outcomes
- Having knowledge of various data collection methods with the ability to evaluate trends and findings
- Completing formal documentation, client case reviews, and research-based practices
A waiver positive support professional must have competencies in the following areas:
- Ethical considerations
- Functional behavior assessment (Note: To complete a functional behavior assessment as required by Minn. R. 9544.0040, the provider must meet the definition of qualified professional in Minn. R. 9544.0020, subp. 47.)
- Functional analysis
- Measurement of behavior and interpretation of data
- Selection of intervention outcomes and strategies
- Person-centered thinking strategies
- Positive behavior support strategies
- Behavior reduction/elimination strategies that promote least-restricted, approved alternatives
- Data collection
- Staff and caregiver training
- Support plan monitoring
- Treatment of co-occurring mental disorders and neurocognitive disorders
- Demonstrated expertise with the population(s) he/she will serve.
