Job Summary:
The Director of Positive Support Professional is responsible for the development and implementation of Positive Support Services. The services consist of developing, implementing and monitoring a person-centered, individually designed, proactive plan to address challenging behaviors. A waiver positive support professional develops this plan and manages/develops the team to enhance a persons quality of life through the process of teaching or increasing positive behavior.
Salary: $75,000.00 to $85,000 based upon years of experience
How will you make a difference?
As part of our team, you will:
- Expertise: Maintain training and knowledge of federal and state regulatory rules, best practices, and company policies and standards as applicable to program role
- Develop and Oversee Positive Support Services: Work with person receiving services in conjunction with their interdisciplinary team to develop and implement the services below:
- Positive Behavior Support Plans that teach an alternative, positive behavior that will result in an increase in the persons quality of life and decrease of challenging behavior and includes:
- Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA): initial and ongoing assessments in accordance with the DHS-Licensing document Functional Behavioral Assessment Quality Checklist which consists of:
- Positive Support Strategy Plan and Functional Behavioral Assessments
- Training and Implementation Oversight of the FBA and Positive Support Strategy Plan
- Positive Support Transition Plans, when required, to phase out the use of restrictive interventions approved for use on a temporary basis.
- Billing: Completes documentation, assessments, and communication for accurate, timely and effective billing for services provided.
- Financial Management Responsibilities: Assists in the creation and management of budgets, spending, and funding compensation to meet goals and promote program sustainability and growth.
- Assists in making annual budget projections.
- Understands all sources of revenue and proper means of collection.
What will you bring to Opportunity Partners?
- Demonstrated expertise in positive support services and program management.
- One of the following:
- Licensed psychologist, independent social worker, or licensed professional clinical counselor.
- Masters degree in social work or behavioral science or related field.
