What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner position at Integrity Locums?
Coverage Needed:
- Start Date: 5/1/2025
- End Date: Unknown
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am-6pm, with night call from 6pm-7am; Weekend call from 7am-7am, with rounding approximately 10am-4pm
- Estimated Shifts/Month: 14
Clinical Details:
- Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Call: Yes, with a 30-minute response time; Average call duration varies
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Cerner and Epic
- Support Staff: Two floor Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and two surgical APPs; Typically three to four staff members are present at any given time
- Procedures Performed: Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), thoracic cases, Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and aortic cases
- patient Demographics: 100% Adult patients, all of whom require surgical interventions
Requirements:
- Board Certification in the relevant specialty
- Degree Issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- Active Pennsylvania State Medical License
- Minimum one year of clinical experience
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Able to Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvesting
- Willingness to Work Weekends
