The Position : Our client is looking for a Billing Manager to oversee a billing department at a non-profit health center.

Requirements :
At least 3 years’ experience in the field of behavioral health medical claims reimbursement strongly preferred
Medicaid or Medicare billing experience required
3 years of supervisory experience supporting a billing team required
Bachelor’s degree in finance or business discipline or associate’s degree with knowledge of medical reimbursement and related terminology including CPT coding.
Responsibilities :
The clinic is open Monday – Friday 8 am – 5pm
Ensure that all tasks related to the running of an effective billing department are completed, including but not limited to completing all pre-billing and billing processes.
Oversight of the billing process of various departments to ensure that the information for clients is correct and that their billing system generates an acceptable claim.
Communicate and coordinate with external billing agency on outstanding claims, analyze the receivable accounts and payments received to identify trends and denial issues that need to be corrected.
Working rejected and denied claims, corrected claims and rebilling them within timely filing guidelines.
Establishing a relationship with major funding sources and filing grievances against third party payers as necessary and ensuring that all parts of the processes are clearly documented.
Must exercise excellent analytical skills to seek out problems in the billing process and recommend viable solutions.
Demonstrate a complete understanding of coding and billing rules from each third-party payer.
Knowledge of credentialing process for staff providing services
