What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pump Specialist position at Integrity Pump and Motor?
Job Summary:
The pump specialist is responsible for the design, performance, and inspection of pumps in for repair. This includes the assembly and final inspection of vertical turbine bowl ends, short sets, submersible vertical turbine, and all other pumps.
Duties:
- Provides design and optimization approaches to pump related and functional areas.
- Performs bench-type processes to complete pump and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge in fluid dynamics, materials, and mechanical engineering.
- Inspects, assembles, and repairs vertical turbine, end suction, and any other pumps or related products.
- Interacts with engineers, product specialists, and other technicians in support of key jobs and functions for Integrity.
- Completes all applicable inspections and quality paperwork.
- Assists in staging materials for assembly and subassembly.
- Performs any necessary pump modifications for custom applications.
- Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Assist in building shipping crates and containers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-4 years of applicable or related experience.
- Ability to lift frequently up to 25 pounds and periodically lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to inventory and maintain equipment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Great communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
