The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting customers, distributors, and outside sales teams by providing quotes, processing orders, and offering technical guidance on vertical turbine pump solutions. This role serves as a key liaison between customers and the production team, ensuring smooth communication and alignment between customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding pricing, lead times, product availability, and order status.
- Quotation Management: Prepare and follow up on sales quotes to ensure accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
- Order Processing: Review and process purchase orders, ensuring they meet company policies and customer specifications.
- Technical Sales Support: Provide technical assistance and product recommendations based on customer needs, working closely with engineering when necessary.
- Customer-Production Coordination: Act as a bridge between customers and the production team, ensuring customer requirements, special requests, and lead times are clearly communicated and met.
- CRM & Record Keeping: Maintain and update customer interactions, quotes, and order details in the CRM system to ensure accurate tracking.
- Sales Coordination: Collaborate with outside sales representatives and distributors to support sales growth and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Order Monitoring & Communication: Communicate order details and proactively address any delays or issues with both customers and internal teams.
- Market & Sales Analysis: Assist with generating sales reports, forecasting, and analyzing market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 years in inside sales, customer service, or a related role in industrial equipment, pumps, or fluid handling industries preferred.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with vertical turbine pumps or rotating equipment is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach, including the ability to effectively relay information between customers and production teams.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and ensure order accuracy.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot customer issues and recommend solutions.
