Electric Motor Mechanic

We have an exciting opportunity for a n Electric Motor Mechanic position in Chesapeake Virginia in a CLIMATE CONTROLLED SHOP!

Job Duties entail but are not limited to :

  • Disassembly and reassembly of motors, pumps, and generators up to 12,000 HP (13.2kw Voltage).
  • Troubleshoot oil leaks, vibration problems, etc.
  • Perform test runs on rebuilt motors.
  • Miscellaneous mechanical tasks as needed.

Qualifications :

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience disassembling, troubleshooting, and reassembling motors, pumps, and generators.
  • Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed (nights / weekends).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must provide own tools (testing equipment is provided by the company).
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Schedule :

  • Monday-Friday
  • 7 : 30am-4pm or 4pm-12 : 30am
  • 20% Night differential available

    • Pay :

  • 20-$25 / hour based on experience

    • Salary : $20 - $25
