PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
Under general direction of the Administrator, the Director of Employee Development works collaboratively with the HR Director, DON and Program Coordinator to implement the RADAR program for all new employees. The DED will work primarily on the A) assimilation and D) Development of the process. Teaching and coaching of new staff will also be a primary role, along with CCDI and DAA training.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification/License - Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Sociology, Psychology, or other Human Services Field.
Knowledge - Working knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care. - Dementia-Specific education, training, and / or experience
Experience - Demonstrated competence working with elderly in long-term care setting.
Skills/Abilities - High level of literacy in spoken and written English. - Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to follow written and oral instructions. - Complete assignments timely, completely and accurately.
