Intela Staffing is looking to fill a Steel Shop Scheduler role for a Machinery & Oil manufacturer in the city of San Bernardino, CA .
Schedule : Monday through Friday 6 : 00am – 2 : 30pm.
Responsibilities :
- Create and update schedules for fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.
- Ensure timely completion of projects by coordinating workflows and resources.
- Work closely with shop manager, estimators, and purchasing teams.
- Communicate scheduling updates and production timelines to stakeholders.
- Identify potential bottlenecks and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Balance workloads across different workstations to improve productivity.
- Review daily production reports and adjust schedules as needed.
- Ensure work orders are completed within specified timelines.
- Review project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials and labor.
- Work with sales and project teams to develop competitive bids for structural steel projects.
- Analyze past production data to improve future cost estimates and efficiency.
- Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Schedule labor and machine utilization effectively.
- Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Shapr3D, or other CAD software to create and review shop drawings.
- Work with 3D models to visualize fabrication sequences and optimize production planning.
- Assist in developing digital workflows to enhance scheduling accuracy and shop efficiency.
CAD & 3D Modeling is a PLUS, for Production Planning
