Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Specialists II to join our team at Abbott Park, IL. In this role, you will be instrumental in assuring the quality of manufactured products and processes by adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Key Responsibilities
- Execute bioanalytical testing and report results for incoming and in-house purified materials.
- Follow Standard Test Procedures (STPs), Standard Control Procedures (SCPs), and Operating Procedures (OPs) meticulously.
- Operate and maintain a variety of analytical equipment, including SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, HPLC, microtiter plates, and conduct chemistry tests (pH, appearance, conductivity, moisture analysis).
- Implement and sustain the effectiveness of the quality system within the lab environment.
- Maintain rigorous attention to detail and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment with frequently shifting priorities and demonstrate proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Document results and findings accurately and communicate them effectively to relevant stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field or 3-7 years of equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, HPLC, microtiter, and chemistry tests (pH, appearance, conductivity, moisture analysis).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow within the role.
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment with frequently shifting priorities.
- Previous experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a lab setting.
- Familiarity with GMP and SOPs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing environments.
- Initial phone screening.
- Follow-up video or onsite interview, depending on availability.
