Role: Quality Assurance Inspector I
Location: Sparks, NV
Duration: 6 Months
Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Perform visual inspections of labels, PID’s, and pouches to approve packing operations or other manufacturing operations.
- Obtain and inspect product samples, recording inspection data and making accept/reject decisions based on the inspection findings.
- Verify product specifications such as dimensions, cavity measures, and pressure using measuring gauges and testing equipment (optical comparator, micrometers, calipers, go-no-go gauges, pin gauges, microscopes, air pressure gauges, etc.).
- Follow quality control inspection criteria to release acceptable lots for storage or send unacceptable lots back for re-work.
- Review written specifications, drawings, and procedures (e.g., Quality Control Inspection Procedures).
- Maintain quality control records and shop order documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.) and the Quality Manual; conduct spot audits in manufacturing areas to assist production in maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to speak and write in English fluently for clear communication and documentation.
- Good documentation practices and ability to maintain accurate records.
Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience in a similar quality control or inspection role is a plus.
- Familiarity with quality control inspection tools and equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
