As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team consisting of two on-site resources (an Engineer and a Technician) and a remote Engineering team from Phoenix – Deer Valley. Your primary role will involve supporting, troubleshooting, and updating/upgrading test equipment at the Olathe Factory. This position collaborates closely with the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) to identify and implement fixes and improvements in response to current production test issues.
Key Responsibilities
Support and Troubleshooting: Provide daily support and troubleshooting for test equipment, particularly Automated Test Equipment (ATE) used for acceptance testing of production avionics hardware. This includes working on equipment containing multiple instruments, cabling, Interface Test Adapters (ITA), power supplies, and more.
Test Equipment Upgrades: Conduct updates and upgrades to test equipment to enhance performance and reliability.
Analysis and Root Cause Identification: Analyze test failures, recommend and implement changes, and determine root causes of recurring issues using Pareto analysis and other methodologies.
Collaboration and Communication: Maintain daily interactions with Engineering counterparts and ISC leadership. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to team members, leadership, and internal ISC stakeholders.
Documentation and Planning: Maintain a detailed and methodical action plan (RAIL) to track issues and improvements. Ensure all activities are well-organized and documented.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in test equipment design and troubleshooting, with a strong emphasis on aerospace applications.
- Extensive experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems.
- Proven track record in systems engineering with a solid hardware background.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical findings and recommendations clearly.
- Experience in aerospace industry with hands-on experience in avionics testing.
- Familiarity with ISC processes and working in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing setting.
