Scope of the ProjectUnder limited supervision, the staff member will serve as the primary SharePoint, Power Platform, and Power BI administrator in a team environment to support the agency's Microsoft O365 tenant. Monitor environments and backend processes to ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and functionality. Ensure compliance with state and agency security and Office of Technology (OT) policies and procedures. Assist with customer support. Promote agency goals and initiatives.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities- Provide technical support for daily operations of the agency's Microsoft O365 tenant with a focus on SharePoint, Power Platform, Power BI, and supporting environments.
- Assist with monitoring and auditing solutions to identify gaps, enhanced functionality, compliance, and security. Adhere to information technology security and application development standards.
- Act as a technical consultant to customers, vendors, and other IT staff to support, research, configure, install third-party plugins within the O365 tenant. Assist with new feature configuration, tasks, and projects as assigned. Provide technical backup to other O365 services as assigned. Promote agency initiatives.
- Respond to customer incident and service request tickets within the IT SLA timeframe. Assist with problem resolution and Tier II support. Monitor O365 admin center for incidents and upcoming outages. Assist other IT staff to ensure security posture and customer user experience with O365.
- Prepare and maintain system documentation for systems supported. Provide appropriate administrative documentation and project communication.
- Other duties related to the support, operations, and support of SharePoint, Power Platform, Power BI, and supporting environments.
- Experience in administering Microsoft O365 – specifically SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Platform applications.
- Knowledge of Azure, configuration, analysis, testing, debugging, maintenance, scripting, and security techniques.
- Working knowledge of computer and operating systems, conceptual understanding of networking, client-server principles, and basic wide area network principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with management, committees, vendors, peers, and customers.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical skills.
- At least 10 years of state government experience.
- At least 10 years of experience developing applications for regulatory environmental programs.
- Knowledge and understanding of field requirements for regulatory environmental inspections.
A bachelor's degree and experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, repair, sales, or marketing. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
