Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance specifications
- Design, code, and debug software to add new features or resolve defects
- Integrate and adapt existing software for new or modified systems and operating environments
- Develop simple data queries for databases and data repositories
- Create and review software and system documentation
- Use orchestration frameworks such as Spring and Kafka for development
- Collaborate with system engineers and hardware engineers to define software requirements and address project limitations
- Implement and refine algorithms to meet strict performance and functional standards
- Utilize container technologies like Docker and develop event-driven or data-driven analytics
- Develop, test, and deploy software solutions using agile development practices and continuous integration methodologies
Key Technologies and Skills
- Proficiency with Linux CLI and Bash scripting for process automation
- Software development experience in Python
- Familiarity with monitoring and analyzing tools such as Splunk and Elastic Stack
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools such as GitLab CI
- Proficiency with Git Source Control System
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Familiarity with log management tools such as Syslog-ng
- Understanding of Kafka Messaging Framework
- Master’s Degree: Computer Science or related discipline, plus three (3) years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree: Computer Science or related discipline, plus five (5) years of relevant experience
- No Degree Alternative: Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- No Degree Alternative: Nine (9) years of relevant software engineering experience in similar programs and contracts
- Clearance:TS/SCI with Polygraph

The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
