The Human Resources & Credentialing Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations, payroll processing and medical provider credentialing. This role ensures smooth HR processes, compliance with employment laws, and efficient onboarding and credentialing of medical professionals with our clients. The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Handle all HR-related inquiries, including but not limited to benefits, payroll, and compliance matters.
· Maintain digital and physical employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with federal and state labor laws.
· Assist in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, conducting background checks, coordinating and conducting interviews, and issuing employment contracts.
· Oversee employee onboarding, orientations, and training coordination.
· Process employee and provider payrolls, address payroll discrepancies, and ensure accurate employee compensation.
· Collaborate with Accounting department for year-end analysis and reporting of pertinent tax related information.
· Administer benefits, maintain vendor relationships, and assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal labor laws, and employment regulations.
· Support performance management processes, including evaluations, disciplinary actions, and improvement plans.
· Maintain HR and internal social calendars, coordinate HR meetings, and track employee training requirements.
· Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding procedures.
· Manage all aspects of medical provider credentialing, including collecting verification documents and licenses, while maintaining open communications with credentialing partners
· Coordinate and submit applications for medical staff privileges with our clients and individual healthcare facilities, as requested.
· Maintain accurate provider files, track credentialing statuses, and update required documentation, ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission and Florida Department of State Health Services credentialing standards.
· Verify timely renewals of provider licenses, DEA certifications, ACLS, CME requirements, and other necessary credentials.
· Ensure credentialing information is properly documented and shared with appropriate departments (i.e IHG IT Department).
· Communicate with providers and external organizations regarding provider verifications and credentialing inquiries.
· Other related administrative tasks as necessary
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in HR operations
· Minimum 3 years in medical credentialing preferred.
· SHRM-CP / HRCI-SPRH certification(s) preferred.
· Strong understanding of employment laws, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
· Proficiency in HR software, payroll software, credentialing databases, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
· High level of integrity, transparency, confidentiality and professionalism.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
· This Position reports to: Administrative and Clinical Manager
· This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting (up to 20 pounds) may be required.
· This role requires open availability to work overtime whenever it is necessary.
· The position is based in a standard office environment with frequent use of office equipment such as computers, telephones, and printers. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings or training sessions.
Estimated Rate of Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
