About The Role :
Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Columbus, OH reporting to the Senior Manager NPI and Manufacturing Engineering. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for applying your expertise in electrical design to both medical and non-medical devices. This includes designing PCBs, developing firmware, implementing RFID technology, creating cabling designs, and integrating complex systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of innovative, high-quality products that adhere to rigorous quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Electrical Design : Design, develop, and validate electrical systems for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards (e.g., IEC 60601).
- PCB Design : Create, optimize, and test PCB layouts using industry-standard design software (e.g., Altium, KiCad, or OrCAD).
- Firmware Development : Collaborate with software teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot firmware for embedded systems.
- RFID Integration : Design and implement RFID systems into devices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Cabling Design : Develop cable assemblies and interconnect systems, ensuring durability, safety, and compatibility with device architecture.
- Systems Integration : Integrate electrical subsystems into cohesive products, working closely with mechanical, software, and test teams.
- Testing & Validation : Conduct thorough testing of electrical components and systems, diagnosing and resolving any issues.
- Documentation : Prepare detailed technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, design files, and test reports.
