Job Title: Labor and Employment Associate
Salary: $95,000 - $135,000 per year
Location: On-site - Detroit or Troy, MI
Working Days: Monday - Friday
Working Hours: 40 – 50 Hours Per Week
Job Type: Full-Time
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and high-quality legal research.
- Draft and respond to discovery requests, including initial disclosures and witness preparation.
- Prepare legal briefs, pleadings, and other court-related documents.
- Collaborate with partner-level attorneys on document production strategies and vendor coordination.
- Draft responses to EEOC and MDCR Charges.
- Participate in employment litigation activities such as motion hearings, mediations, and depositions.
- Prepare materials for trial and attend trial-related proceedings.
- Support attorneys throughout all phases of employment litigation and traditional labor matters.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited law school.
- Must be admitted to the Michigan State Bar, or eligible for prompt admission.

Required Skills:
- 2–4 years of experience in employment-related litigation and client counseling.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience handling all aspects of discovery.
- Skilled in taking and defending depositions.
- Proficiency with Westlaw and other online legal research tools.
- Outstanding written and oral communication abilities.
- Experience in traditional labor matters is a plus.
