• C shift: Thursday – Sunday - 5am to 5pm | Pay: $36.63/hr

About the Position

The Material Handler 2 role is responsible for overseeing and managing material flow within the work center. This position plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations, ensuring production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and streamline the movement of materials and work orders across departments to ensure timely production completion.
• Monitor production schedules, making adjustments as needed to accommodate shifting priorities and urgent requests.
• Work closely with production planners, supervisors, and other stakeholders to coordinate and schedule manufacturing activities.
• Track and maintain inventory levels to ensure materials and supplies are readily available, minimizing production delays.
• Provide updates on production status, delays, and potential issues to management, sales teams, and other key stakeholders.
• Identify bottlenecks or process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to enhance productivity and meet deadlines.
• Conduct routine inspections of production areas to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records, including work orders, production reports, and inventory logs.
• Continuously assess and improve production workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in planning and/or scheduling activities.
• Background working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement concepts and ability to apply them effectively.
• Ability to build trust, maintain professionalism, and contribute to an inclusive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and production planning tools.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for data analysis and problem-solving.
• Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) if required.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Salary : $33 - $37
