Job Summary
We are seeking a Material Handler to support aerospace manufacturing operations. This key role involves managing the flow of materials and flight hardware, contributing to the production processes, and ensuring that materials are readily available to meet project timelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace manufacturing, inventory management, and a strong understanding of traceability requirements for flight hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Handle production flight hardware post-delivery to the flight center, including scanning materials in and out.
- Organize and manage material storage (cages) according to production schedules.
- Prepare and manage material containers based on team consumption, such as fasteners and other specific parts.
- Ensure work orders and materials are ready for production and consumption on the floor.
- Maintain attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to maintain production flow.
- Collaborate with production planners to plan and schedule work activities.
- Track and manage inventory, ensuring availability and minimizing production delays.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices to enhance efficiency.
- Follow safety regulations and quality standards, ensuring compliance across all production activities.
- Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, inventory logs, and production reports.
- Support process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in material handling or aerospace manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP software such as Cost Point, SAP, or other industry standards.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and apply traceability and hardware requirements in aerospace.
- Understanding of work orders, build of materials (BOM), and creating material kits.
- Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or similar industries is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Cost Point ERP Software is a huge plus.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices.

Compensation:
The pay offered to a successful candidate will be determined by various factors, including education, work experience, location, job responsibilities, certifications, and more. Additionally, IPGenius provides a comprehensive benefits package, all subject to eligibility.
