We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Intern to join our team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a college student currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, or a related field to gain practical experience in procurement processes, supplier management, and financial aspects of purchasing.
Interns at Intellisense will contribute towards meaningful projects from day one. You will grow your skillsets, create lasting professional relationships, and assist in developing a wide range of cutting-edge technologies.

Intellisense’s 2025 Summer Internship Program:
- 8-12 weeks in duration (on-site in Torrance)
- 32 hours a week, Monday-Thursday
- Available from May/June through August/September
- Open to rising Sophomores through Graduate Students
- Social Activities with Interns and Employees
- Completion of a Capstone Project
Examples of Prior Summer Internship Projects:
- Driving impactful process enhancements within our labs and operations.
- Crafting cutting-edge PCB designs for Avionics Display systems.
- Creating engaging user interfaces and codes for innovative API development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing and processing purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports to support cost-saving initiatives such as parts standardization and material budget tracking.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications in the company’s procurement system.
- Support the team in researching potential strategic suppliers and evaluating their capabilities.
- Assist in tracking inventory levels and replenishment needs.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize procurement workflows.
- Assist with invoice and charge number reconciliation and PO Closing activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program, pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (particularly Deltek Costpoint) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn about procurement and supply chain processes.
