Job Summary:
The Financial Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the campus Financial Aid office to ensure efficient and effective workflow and timely and accurate processing of all Federal Student Aid funds. This position will be the primary point of contact for new/continuing students with complex issues regarding their financial aid package.
Essential Duties:
- Train and supervise financial aid representatives and assist in the completion of the following tasks:
- Meet new and prospective students to provide educational cost estimates and discuss payment methods and options
- Assist parents and/or students with FAFSA filing paperwork to determine financial aid eligibility
- Determine student eligibility for FSA funds based on ISIR, resolve issues that arise, and complete all necessary paperwork
- Complete all established Financial Aid processes, such as verification, award letters, loan originations, etc. to allow for accurate and timely payment of Federal Student Aid Funds
- Handle the yearly refinancing process with students to ensure timely receipt of second-year funding
- Establish student work-study eligibility and work with HR liaison to complete new hire paperwork
- Meet with students prior to graduation for exit counseling and to review student loan repayment information
- Audit completed student financial aid files to ensure accuracy
- Analyze past due reports to determine students requiring additional financial aid processing and work to resolve issues
- Submit financial aid payment requests to the corporate office by or before the weekly deadline
- Optimize the awarding of campus-based and state fund allocations
- Coordinate with business office to provide veteran students with necessary financial support
- Develop and maintain a current working knowledge of all applicable financial aid regulations
- Monitor student satisfactory progress for impact on financial aid eligibility and prepare warning letters as necessary
- Demonstrate effective teamwork with all members of the enrollment team to meet student needs, assisting any student as needed
- Complete various campus reports as required
Qualifications
Working Hours
Monday - Friday, 9:00AM - 6:00PM, 1 Saturday every 6 weeks, or as campus needs dictate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional two (2) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a formal degree
Experience: 2 years of experience in Financial Aid
License(s)/Certification(s): Must be able to obtain and maintain access to secure government systems
Salary : $55,000
