Job Responsibilities
- Providing post-acute LPN nursing care to residents with varying medical needs
- Tracking vital signs, physical condition, and mental acuity of residents
- Completing intakes of residents, including documentation of medical histories and health concerns
- Assisting with medications, including proper administration, verification, and monitoring
- Keeping track of medical records and charts of residents
- Helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment for residents
- Ensuring proper storage and inventory of medical supplies
- Setting up and assisting with immunizations, IVs, and phlebotomy procedures
- Being accountable to follow and adhere to care plans for residents and all applicable policies and regulations
Qualifications and Skills
- Current Massachusetts state license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Completion of approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) educational program
- Graduation from high school (or GED/equivalent)
- At least 6 months experience working as a LPN (or similar role)
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
