TITLE: EXTRUSION TECHNICIAN A
POSITION OBJECTIVE: To produce a consistent quality product utilizing procedures and process related troubleshooting while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment and ensuring all customer and internal quality requirements are met.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Minimum six months’ extrusion department experience
Mechanical aptitude
Good oral /written communication skills
Computing knowledge
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Any supplemental responsibilities as determined by Senior Extrusion Technician / Lead
All production related duties / responsibilities of a Extrusion Technician – B and Winder Operator – A
Equipment cleaning preparation while line is down
Assist adjoining line if necessary
Maintain equipment notifying Senior Extrusion Technician / Lead of any maintenance issues requiring immediate attention
Initiate work orders for items to be addressed during future outage
Overtime as required
Support Quality Control with laboratory requirements / testing procedures
Assist in training of winder operators
Senior Extrusion Technician / Lead duties in the event of absence
Strive to achieve departmental production and quality objectives
Comply with company recycling policy
Comply with all Plant Safety and Product Safety requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles. Using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
Inside and outside environments apply.

Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
