Applied Scientist
IntePros is seeking an Applied Scientist to join our client's sustainability data initiative. In this role, you will develop innovative machine learning algorithms and solutions to address complex sustainability challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience applying deep learning techniques, managing large datasets, and working with cloud-based platforms to support sustainability-related data initiatives.
Skills Required :
Expertise in Deep Learning and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Strong experience in data acquisition and management, including data scraping, cleaning, and preparation.
Proficiency with cloud-based services such as AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, SageMaker) or similar platforms.
Hands-on experience coding in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python).
Strong analytical skills to process and derive insights from structured and unstructured datasets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills :
Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience with NLP techniques and frameworks.
Hands-on experience in sustainability-related data projects.
Familiarity with building dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or QuickSight.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Data Modeling & Analysis : Develop and maintain statistical and ML models, including LLM-based approaches, to understand demand signals for sustainability-related datasets.
Data Acquisition & Management : Perform data scraping, cleaning, and preparation tasks to ensure high-quality inputs for analysis.
Information Extraction : Utilize NLP / LLM techniques to identify relevant signals from textual data, scientific reports, and other unstructured sources.
Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with cross-functional teams to define modeling requirements and share insights with stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with emerging data science methods and technologies to enhance data and analytical capabilities.
Day-to-Day Activities :
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address sustainability data challenges.
Analyze large datasets and develop actionable insights.
Automate data ingestion and processing workflows.
Present research findings and technical insights to cross-functional teams.
Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
