Shipping Technician
Contract to Hire Opportunity starting pay: 19-20/hr
Guaranteed 40 hrs/week with OT available

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Shipping Technician with strong computer skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, to join our team. This role is computer-based, with 80% of the time spent in the office. Candidates must be able to understand Spanish, as training is conducted in Spanish by team leads. While bilingual skills are not required, comprehension of Spanish is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe and efficient environment while driving an error-free customer order processing process, including staging, fulfillment, order allocation, loading, and label/documentation accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Safety, Quality, and Food Safety Systems.
- Confirm staging and inventory of pallets before shipping.
- Validate proper labeling and placement of outbound shipments to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Use Excel for documentation, tracking, and order processing tasks.
- Assist the supervisor in implementing shipping policies and preventing incorrect stock shipments.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors and team leads.
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience in order processing, staging, fulfillment, loading, and labeling.
- Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., creating/editing spreadsheets).
- Ability to understand Spanish (training and instructions are delivered in Spanish).
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a distribution or food manufacturing setting preferred.
