In this role, you will be a key member of our Cloud Migration team, working cross-functionally to migrate legacy on-premise Oracle databases into modern Azure Cloud PaaS solutions. We are looking for a seasoned Oracle database expert who thrives on solving complex challenges, driving modernization efforts, and delivering high-quality database migrations tailored to client needs.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the end-to-end migration of legacy on-premise Oracle databases to Azure Cloud PaaS SQL instances
- Assess existing database environments, identify potential migration risks, and develop robust strategies to ensure smooth transitions
- Design and implement data migration processes, including schema conversion, data transformation, and ETL workflows, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with cloud infrastructure and DevOps teams to integrate Oracle databases seamlessly into Azure architectures
- Optimize and validate migrated databases for performance, scalability, and reliability in Azure environments
- Troubleshoot migration-related issues and resolve performance bottlenecks post-migration
- Provide guidance on leveraging Azure-native tools and best practices for data management and optimization
- Document migration processes, configurations, and lessons learned to improve future efforts
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand requirements, provide updates, and deliver tailored solutions
