Job Purpose:
The HSE Manager will be responsible for overseeing the creation, implementation, and training of safety management policies and procedures across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role ensures the coordination of all environmental, health, and safety (HSE) programs, while providing leadership in HSE decisions that support the company’s operations and goals. The goal is to ensure a safe and compliant work environment across all locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the Safety department team.
- Direct resources and activities related to the Safety Management Program, supporting senior leadership with advice and guidance.
- Promote and maintain a culture focused on HSE best practices, ensuring an appropriate balance of safety priorities and operational costs.
- Regularly review and update internal HSE policies, conducting risk assessments and implementing necessary changes.
- Serve as the regional HSE expert, addressing regulatory compliance, safety-related legal concerns, and liaising with external consultants and contractors.
- Produce regular reports on safety performance and provide updates to senior leadership.
- Assist in investigating incidents and ensuring proper documentation, corrective actions, and “lessons learned” are shared across the organization.
- Design and oversee training programs that encourage safe work practices and enhance safety awareness.
- Schedule and facilitate safety meetings at various locations to discuss HSE performance and policy updates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and oversee the accurate reporting and record keeping of safety-related data.
- Monitor and review safety incentive programs, ensuring alignment with regulations and organizational safety objectives.
- Conduct site visits and audits to ensure ongoing adherence to safety standards and policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial safety management.
- Proven experience managing safety programs for large-scale projects.
Skills and Competencies:
- Extensive knowledge of industry safety practices, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management, external agencies, and employees.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Ability to resolve issues independently and make decisions without direct supervision.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and judgment skills.
- Willing to travel up to 60% of the time.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and occasional climbing.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly, 30 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Close vision required for some tasks.

Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
