Bilingual Environmental Health & Safety Professional
Seeking a field-oriented Bilingual Environmental Health & Safety Professional for a construction project in Atlanta, GA to help implement the Corporate and Site-Specific safety programs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5 - 10 years’ Construction Safety Experience
Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or similar (preferred) or professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, SMS, etc.).
Minimum OSHA 510
OSHA 30hr
First Aid/CPR
Fluent in English and Spanish including write and read.
Abilities:
Conduct Site Safety Orientation English and Spanish
Perform regular job site inspections to identify, document and recommend mitigation of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions and verify correction actions s have been completed.
Support incidents investigations to include interviews, data compilation, photographs and completing proper documentation.
Evaluate various planning/permits such as: Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, Steel Erection, Energized Work, Pre-cast Tilt-Up as examples for effective and appropriate mitigation techniques.
Evaluate AHA and PTPs
Understanding of fire protection, flammable/combustible materials storage/management.
Working knowledge of OSHA Regulations
Computer Skills and tech Savvy
Working Conditions:
Work is conducted in construction jobsite settings requiring sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Safety professional must be willing to spend 80-85% on the time in the field.
Work hours will be determined at the Project or work assignment basis.
Noise level varies based on location.
Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to, steel toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
